(1) Respect for Others: That's is quite obvious. We expect you to show respect to every member on the site, whether they are admin, mod, member, or guest. A standard of respect is necessary to protect the quality of our experience here on the site. If you wish to express your opinions, do so in a civil and mature manner. Debates are good, but heated and nasty arguments are unacceptable; if your conversation has taken a turn for the worst, show that respect by handling the matter privately in PM or private chat. Discrimination toward others for their race, sexuality, age, etc. is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Also, MODS AND ADMINS ARE YOUR FRIENDS. Don't be afraid to talk to them. If you ever feel bullied...
(2) Quality, not Quantity: There is no competition or award for highest post count. Make sure that your posts are not just a couple of lines long… This is just dead space. Be creative! Also, grammar and spelling mistakes can be overlooked as long as we understand what you write.
(3) Absence board: The purpose of this board is so that when you are going to be away from the site for close to a week or longer, or suffer a considerable reduction in availability, you can make this known to us so that the people role-playing with you aren't being simply blown off. It is your responsibility to post in that board when you are going to go away. If you are active, you should be able to post at least once every week or so. At least, reply to the activity checks.
(4) God-moding and Overpower: God-moding and overpower are wrong and should not be done. And remember: only Alucard is overpower, and that's cause Hellsing's mangaka made him following Bram Stoker'sinstructions Dracula. This includes playing your character as unrealistically untouchable, indestructible, invincible, or taking control of a thread to make everything go your way, ALL THE TIME. It also includes writing for someone else's characters (many times). If you want your OC not to miss or to have a perfect hit on a thread, talk to the one who is on the thread with you, if the person is alright with it, then there is no problem. That's the polite way of doing it.
(5) Themes: Dreams of Red (DOR) ratings...Would you mind to check the firts side box on your left? Yeah, it will happen at some point cause...let's face it, Hellsing is kinda bloody - and remember the freaks couple at that chapter... - but it wouldn't hurt to post a little M on the thread's title.
(6) Overall Activity: Post as often as you can, but at least once a week would be good. We need to keep our members list up-to-date, so members who are inactive for a month or longer will be deactivated as well as those who don't answer the Activity Checks. Your screenie will be deleted, but your character profile will be saved [archived to Inactive applications in accepted applications], and you can return later if you wish to rejoin, using your old profile.
Please Note!: We can only hold your PB for so long before it becomes unfair to the would-be active players who really want to use that PB, so please understand if you return and your PB is no longer available. If it's been that long, then it's probably best that you create a new character anyways, because you need to "find" your character again. As of now, we will hold onto your PB for 2 months after the date of your inactivity. If you return eight months after dropping, don't get angry at us because your PB is in use and you need to make a new character. You did go inactive for eight months! However, we will be more than happy to help you generate a new character and get them involved in the RP. Chances are your writing and creativity will have improved over that distance of time as well, so try to be a good sport about this.
(7) General Realism and Theme: Try to be original with your threads, use your creativity, but also be realistic. Remember that your role-play should not revolve entirely around yourself, and ideally, it won't. Please try to breathe something real into the story. And PLEASE, don't go over power.
(8) The Separation: You are not your character. Your character is not you. Meta-gaming, or playing off-board, is wrong. Just because your hero knows about a trap set for several villains, does not mean your villain gets to magically guess when and where, or even if, it's going to happen. What is said to your character IC is not an attack on you OOC, and should not be taken that way? If you've made a decent character, they should not be a Mary Sue. If you’re not a Mary Sue, there's no reason for you to be taking IC stuff to a personal OOC level. Mind the separation, as it keeps the integrity of role-play golden.
(9) Chatbox: Please, while on the CBox, try to respect other members. Remember that spam advertising is wrong and must not be done. Though, if the topic appears on a conversation about another forum or your onw forum and such, you can post a link.
(10) Muahaha...It seems that we are reaching the end. For those out there willing to play Alucard, go to the Cannon's list and check out, if you think you meet the requirements, PM the admin. Ah also, you will need this word: Afterlife.
